What makes an MTG deck box cool?
Something that makes people ask about it at the table: a commander on display, an unusual shape or a great colour. The best cool features also make the box easier to use, so you're not trading function for looks.
Is a display window worth having?
Yes. Your commander becomes the label for the deck, which looks great and stops you grabbing the wrong one. SquadPod Slim keeps your commander in a toploader behind a front window. See what a toploader deck box is.
Are slim deck boxes cool or just practical?
Both. A slim box looks sleek and unusual next to chunky cubes, and it slides into a jacket or laptop bag. SquadPod Slim is just 50 mm deep. Read why slim beats bulky.
What's the coolest deck box for display at home?
One that doubles as a stand. Our Commander Deck Box with Card Stand locks your commander to the front and includes a card stand, so it looks like a mini showcase on the shelf.
Do colours really matter?
They make a collection look intentional. Matching a box to your deck's colours is a small touch that looks great lined up on a shelf. See our deck box colour guide and pink and pastel deck boxes.
Does a cool deck box have to be expensive?
No. SquadPod Slim is £19.99 and has a display window, latch, token space and five colourways. Compare features per pound with our deck box buying checklist.
