Drawing a Magic: The Gathering® player in Secret Santa can feel daunting if you don't play. The good news: the best gifts aren't cards at all, and plenty come in under £20.
The short answer: a good deck box is the standout gift under £20. SquadPod Slim is £19.99, holds a full Commander deck plus tokens and shows off their commander through a front window.

What's a good Secret Santa gift for someone who plays MTG?
Accessories they'll use, such as a deck box, sleeves or dice. Avoid random booster packs or single cards unless you know exactly what they want.
Is a deck box a good Secret Santa gift?
Yes. Most players have more decks than decent boxes, and a deck box never clashes with their card choices. SquadPod Slim fits the £20 limit with a penny to spare.
Which colour should I choose?
If you don't know their taste, Bone (black and sand) or Harbour (navy and white) are safe. For someone who loves colour, Blossom pink or Frost blue stand out. See pink and pastel deck boxes.
What if they play Pokémon or another card game?
SquadPod Slim also holds 50 and 60-card decks double-sleeved. See the best deck box for 60-card decks.
Are booster packs a good Secret Santa gift?
They're fun but a lottery. A couple of packs alongside sleeves or dice makes a nicer bundle than packs alone.
